This volume consists of three sections: the first is an overview of the historical disagreements between North and South which led to armed conflict in 1861; the second discusses the usurpations of the Lincoln Administration, highlights some of the larger battles, and details the cruelty of the invading Yankee army; and the third covers the results of the war, primarily the debacle of Radical Reconstruction.
